Colyf: Colyf System Architecture

Separate public discovery from authenticated institutional work, backed by shared contracts and PostgreSQL.

Inside Colyf.

Explore Colyf

The TypeScript monorepo separates the public marketing site, authenticated React web portal, React Native mobile application and server API. The public site is prerendered for discovery; private institutional content belongs behind authentication.

The Nest/Fastify API validates identities, institution membership, roles, resource access and feature rules. PostgreSQL stores application records, with row-level policies supporting tenant and institution boundaries.

Lamp connects through the same authenticated application routes. Its proposed changes are reviewed by the user and rechecked when executed, so conversational requests do not become a separate source of permission.

Firebase Hosting serves the public website and portal. The API runs on Heroku. Deployment and module availability remain operational concerns rather than marketing promises of unlimited capacity.

  • Prerendered public site and separate authenticated portal
  • Shared TypeScript contracts across web, mobile and API
  • PostgreSQL and application authorization enforce data scope
